Solution
As part of a major expansion program in order to increase manufacturing capacity, Apatech took over a new building on the opposite side of its current state of the art manufacturing facility based at Centennial Park, Elstree. The project included a complete fit out of the new laboratory & production areas.
Fit out of the building shell was project managed by Glanville Projects, a specialist life science construction project company. Glanville projects chose Dortek GRP doors due to the hygienic requirements of the facility.
In addition to the new doors, Dortek also supplied & installed 26 internal windows. Cleanroom windows are very important in such a facility as they allow for viewing the production areas without having to enter the clean process.
The stainless steel frame of the windows matched that of the door frames ensuring the facility was aesthetically pleasing. It also provided maximum vision along the corridor meaning the narrow space did not look too enclosed. Dortek cleanroom windows have now been tested to fire standards.
