Requirements
The client, one of the UK’s biggest providers of storage and shipment facilities for chilled food-stuffs contacted Dortek’s Industrial Doors Division to provide a solution for a new 21,000 sq metre facilities.
Specific requirements:
• Minimum maintenance products to robust design
• Supply and Fit by one company
• Hygienic products where possible
• Chiller Doors capable of operating in temperatures of-400C
• Service Centre within 1 hour of facility for speedy response to call outs
Solution
Fast Acting Doors with high reliability/ minimum maintenance and 2 chiller/ freezer doors which were capable of -40C were specified for the project.
Because of the nature of the facility, Dortek’s NR1000 self balancing fast acting door with anti-static curtain, vermin resistant bottom and side guides were used throughout.
Dortek supplied and our own engineers fitted all doors over a 5 week period. Commissioning carried out by Dortek and approved by client.
