Merck Sharpe & Dohme is a global research driven pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of human and animal health products.
MSD has been in Singapore since 2001, in a new facility on 49 acres in Tuas comprising a bulk pharmaceutical plant and fomulation facilities.
Solution
Dortek have supplied & installed the cleanroom doors on all the projects carried out at this facility, SPF in 2002, NPF in 2006 and Roller Compactor in 2008.
The majority of the doors are large automated sliding doors used for ease of movement of large vessels. The use of sliding doors rather than hinged doors wastes less floor area and makes the doors very user friendly.
Dortek fired doors tested to local Singapore standards were also used, some of which have been used in an external application. The doors have excellent thermal properties ensuring that although you have 30+°C and 80%+ humidity on the outside & controlled cleanroom conditions inside the doors will not sweat on the inside or warp.
All doors were installed & commissioned by Dortek Hygienic door systems PTE Ltd, Singapore.
