Requirements
The Vision Clinic in Utrecht is the largest of it’s kind in Holland and is a flagship project for the Vision Clinics group, the biggest laser eye surgery group in the Netherlands.
MF5 doors were installed between the preparatory area and the surgery area as part of a £1.7M fit out of the laser clinic.
Solution
As patients are transferred from the preparatory area, across a clean corridor to the surgery where the procedure is carried out, optimum levels of hygiene are required.
The MF5 hermetically sealed sliding door is over 99% effective, thus reducing cross contamination and sliding doors require much less valuable space than hinged doors in a narrow corridor.
Doors were manufactured with a full glass leaf to ensure a light and spacious feel to the suite.
Two 6mm thick hardened glass panels, flush fixed with anodized aluminium door blade creates a bright, modern and secure environment.
The four identical preparatory and surgery combinations incorporated electric automations actuated by hygienic touchless sensors.
The clinic was officially opened in late 2008.
