Transfer Hatches

Applications
Transfer Hatches are used to allow the transfer of materials between Clean Rooms and support areas whilst minimising the risk of airborne cross-contamination.
Features
The hatches have two stainless steel framed doors glazed with toughened glass which are vertically hinged with stainless steel hinges.
The doors are mechanically interlocked to prevent them both being opened together and close against magnets.
These doors are deliberately not sealed in order to allow a small volume of air from the clean side (which is normally at a higher pressure) to continuously flush the interior of the hatch. This volume is so small by comparison with room air flows that it will have no perceptible effect on room pressures.
The hatches are supplied with installation flanges to secure them in the wall and can be fitted flush or protruding.

Construction
Manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel with toughened or laminated glass, glazed in stainless steel framed doors.
Options
We can offer bespoke sizes to suit all applications in 316 and 304 grade stainless steel. Both standard and Fire-rated versions available.
